UUM ONLINE: SETARA 2017 assists universities in building a strong foundation in the delivery of their three core functions of teaching, doing research and providing services, through an appropriate metric assessment.
To help realise this noble aspiration, UUM welcomed an Audit Visit for the SETARA 2017 Rating Assessment at the Senate Meeting Room on recently.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, said that SETARA had produced a rating instrument that could assess universities at the institutional level and the primary functions of the university including teaching, research, and services.
"UUM has obtained five stars and hopes to continue doing well and perform even better than before.
"During the time when we attained the 5-star rating in 2013, UUM had not obtained any international accreditations such as AMBA and AACSB, which imposed stringent auditing standards. Since then, too, 6 UUM programmes have successfully obtained accreditation at the ASEAN level and the OYAGSB has received the Triple ISO certification.
The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the audit team headed by Prof. Dr. Hanim Salleh, Prof. Ir. Dr. Kaharudin Dimyati and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farah Nora Aznieta Abd. Aziz.
