UUM ONLINE: 19 September - Awang Had Salleh Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (AHSGS) welcomed a total of 157 new students who registered for the first trimester of 2018/2019 academic session today.
The registration process which went on until 11.30am, took place at the Foyer of School of Computing (SOC).
The students comprised 116 students who enrolled into the Master programme and 41 students into the Doctorate Degree (PhDs) programme offered by the seven Schools under the auspices of UUM CAS. Out of the total who registered, 144 were local students while 13 students were international students.
For this semester, AHSGS offers 389 places to its successful Master and PhD applicants to pursue studies in their respective fields.
Among those who registered today were 21 individuals from the Malaysian Prisons Department who graduated from the Graduate Diploma (Correctional Science) programme (DSSK) and will be pursuing the Master of Science (Correctional Science).
AHSGS welcomes all of its new students and expresses gratitude and appreciation for choosing Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) as their knowledge hub to further their studies at the postgraduate level.
