This is the second time UUM succeeded in receiving AUN-QA certification after the first accreditation for the Bachelor of International Affairs (Hons.) in 2013.
Audit assessment visit was conducted by two AUN-QA experienced assessors; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Kay Chuan from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Dr. Leni Sofia Heliani from Universitas Gadjah Mada on 22 -24 April 2015.
Prior to receiving the audit visit, the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) document covering 15 main AUN-QA guidelines and criteria, has been reviewed by the assessors.
On the whole, this programme has achieved above the satisfactory levels according to the AUN-QA criteria, especially in terms of the content and structure of the programme, the quality of academic staff, staff development activities, consultation services and student support, quality of students, infrastructure and facilities as well as stakeholder satisfaction.
The success of this programme will further improve the chances of another four academic programmes scheduled for AUN-QA assessment specifically the Bachelor of Decision Science, Bachelor of Development Management, Bachelor of Social Work Management and Bachelor of Economics with Honours by the end of this year.
UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Wira Dr.Mohamed Mustafa Ishak was certainly pleased and proud of this latest achievement and he extended his sincere congratulations and appreciations to the Dean and staff of SQS, the Institute of Quality Management (IPQ) and those involved in the accreditation process.
Dato’ Vice-Chancellor said, this success proved that UUM academic quality is at its best and all plans in UUM's strategic agenda have generated positive results. Dato’ Vice-Chancellor announced this success during the launching ceremony of UniTV at EDC-UUM recently.
