A total of 107 students of Bachelor of Accounting and 52 students of Bachelor of Accounting (Information Systems) signed up for the scheme.
Also present at the registration day were Edward Ling, Head of Business Development of ACCA Malaysia and Vincent Hah, Manager of Business Development of ACCA Malaysia.
According to Edward, the ACCA Accelerate Scheme increased the chances of local university students to find jobs after their graduation due to knowledge and skills they learned and acquired through the professional programme was indeed widely used in the industrial sector.
"The scheme exposes the students the needs of the industrial sector to increase their chances to be employed," he said.
Student enrolment session began with a briefing by the ACCA followed by submission of the registration forms by students to the ACCA officials.
The ACCA Accelerate Scheme Programme also supported the Government's aspirations to increase the chances of getting jobs with a recognised qualification to local undergraduates.
