UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato' Wira Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak said this remarkable achievement would certainly boost morale and motivation of UUM denizens to intensify their efforts in order to realise UUM desire to become the eminent management university.
According to him, UUM was not listed in the 2011 QS Asian varsity rankings. However, it was ranked 299 place in 2012, rose to the position of 224 in 2013 and continued to rise to 213 position in 2014 and this year UUM climbed 20 places to finish at 193 in the table.
"Indeed, the achievements attained by UUM in recent years are achieved through the UUM Strategic Plan (Phase 1) 2011-2015," he said.
The Vice-Chancellor also congratulated all Deans, Directors of Centre of Authority, academic, administrative staff, Institute of Quality Management (IPQ), entrusted as the secretariat for the university ranking and rating agenda and those involved directly and indirectly in realising the visions of the university.
