Speaking at the event, Deputy Higher Education Minister, Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching stated that, the Competency Enhancement Programme for Educators: Entrepreneurial Educator Enhancement Programme (3EP) is a programme organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Malaysia and she extended her utmost congratulations to all participants for successfully completing the 9-day programme at UUM.
The 3EP is programme is an effort by the Ministry under the Entrepreneurship Action Plan 2016-2020 initiative and the programme aimed at enhancing the efficiency and job efficacy of the teaching staff in developing exceptional entrepreneurial graduates with values, skills and entrepreneurship attributes while changing their mindset from being job seekers to become job creators.
"The programme also aimed at improving the competency level and entrepreneurial drive of university instructors while refining the effectiveness of the teaching pedagogy in entrepreneurship education.
The module for this programme was prepared by experienced and certified instructors and entrepreneurs from local and international institutions including the Innovation Academy University College Dublin, Ireland (IA-UCD), Malaysian Academy of SME and Entrepreneurship Development Universiti Teknologi MARA (MASMED-UiTM), Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs Development Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (CESMED-UKM) and Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business Universiti Utara Malaysia (OYAGSB-UUM).
Also present at the event were the Irish Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Eeamon Hickey and UUM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Noor Azizi Ismail.
