UUM ONLINE: Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, or better known as Chef Wan, delivered his inaugural lecture as Adjunct Professor of the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Environmental Management (STHEM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), last Sunday.
His lecture, held at the Seminar Hall A of the Convention Centre, UUM, was attended by over 250 students and members of staff.
Chef Wan, who has brought honour to the country at the international level, shared with his audience portions of the wealth of experience and expertise that he had gathered in his journey of 30 years in the culinary world.
He received his professional chef and hotel management training from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, USA, and the Ritz Escoffier Diploma from the Ritz Hotel in Paris, France. His two-year appointment as Adjunct Professor at the STHEM took effect on 1 February 2017 and ends on 31 January 2019.
Also present at the lecture were the Dean of the STHEM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurhazani Mohd Shariff, and UUM officers.
