UUM ONLINE: 23 August - In efforts to establish wider international collaboration in the field of education, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), through its subsidiary, Uniutama Education and Consultancy Sdn. Bhd. (UECSB), signed Letters of Intent (LoI) with three institutions of higher learning from the People's Republic of China.
The Letters of Intent were inked in a ceremony held at UUMKL, yesterday.
The three institutions of higher learning concerned were the Shenzhen Sino-Malaysia Joint Research Centre of Beihang University, Hong Ren Business College and China Young International Consortium of Universities.
The Letters of Intent were sealed by the Chief Executive Officer of UECSB, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fairol Halim, and the representatives of the three institutions, namely, Dr. Jiang Tao, the Director of the Shenzhen Sino-Malaysia Joint Research Centre of Beihang University; Dr. Run Xuan Zhang, the President of Hong Ren Business College, and Dr. Zhang Lin Feng, the Chairman of China Young International Consortium of Universities.
Present to witness the signing were the Chairperson of the University Board of Directors, Tan Sri Siti Sa'diah Sheikh Bakir, and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak.
Also present at the event were the CEO of UMHSB, Mr. Suardi Mohamed Zakaria; the Bursar, Mr. Amron Man; the Deputy Registrar, Mr. Baharudin Yaacob; the Director of the Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Farizal Rajemi, and the Director of UUMKL, Dr Ahmad Rizal Mazlan.
