UUM ONLINE: 30 April - Mr. Shazmi Ali Sardar Ali, an alumnus of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), shared his vast knowledge and experiences on how to nurture and develop the characteristics of future leaders with UUM students at the Seminar A Hall, Convention Center, UUM in an Alumni Premier Lecture entitled “Developing Holistic Future Leaders: A Global HR Perspective”.
This lecture was jointly organised by the Student Development and Alumni Office, College Of Business; the Alumni Centre and the School of Business Management in conjunction with his one-day visit to UUM.
Mr. Shazmi graduated from UUM with a Degree in Human Resource Management and has extensive experience in human resources. He is currently the Cluster Human Resource Director (Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia & Brunei) at the world's leading 150-year biopharmaceutical company, Pfizer.
In his lecture, Mr. Shazmi grabbed the attention of UUM students by sharing insights and experiences on his early career in human resources at various reputable companies.
In addition, he also disclosed the essential characteristics of future leaders including being resilient, agile, adaptable, possess global management competencies, effective networking skills and most importantly, never lose hope. The lecture concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
