UUM ONLINE: 4 September - A briefing session for parents and guardians of the First Semester students of 2018/2019 Academic Session was held at the Mu'adzam Shah Hall this afternoon.
The briefing session which was presented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani was attended by more than 4,000 people comprising parents, guardians and family members of the new students.
The briefing session was held to give parents, guardians and family members, an overview of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), especially on the courses offered, facilities available at the Campus as well as UUM's recent achievements and developments.
In addition, the briefing was held to convince parents, guardians and family members that choosing UUM as an institution of higher learning for their children to pursue their studies was the right choice.
The Vice-Chancellor also took advantage of the meeting to communicate with the parents and guardian who were present and to answer various questions raised including issues such as welfare, academic and facilities provided by UUM to students.
