UUM ONLINE: The Institute for Advanced and Smart Digital Opportunities (IASDO), the School of Computing (SOC) UUM, took a proactive approach by holding discussions to establish research collaborations with MyEG Services Berhad at the Welcome Centre Meeting Room, recently.
The members of the delegation from MyEG, led by the Executive Director, who is also the Adjunct Professor of SOC, Dato' Raja Munir Shah Raja Mustapha, along with two MyEG senior officers held discussions with the Director of IASDO, Associate Professor Dr Azizah Ahmad; the Dean of SOC, Professor Dr Huda Ibrahim; the Director of National Golf Academy (AGNUUM), Associate Professor Dr Azman Yasin and researchers from SOC.
The meeting aimed to identify cooperation opportunities between both parties and as an initial step, a pilot study on digital payments will be implemented at AGN and UUM Golf Club.
In addition, both parties discussed on the proposed blockchain technology workshops and the industrial training programmes for students and members of the staff.
Members of the MyEG delegation paid a courtesy call on UUM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani and they expressed their intent to assist UUM in generating revenue through consultation services, marketing and product commercialisation efforts.
Both parties also agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future.
