UUM ONLINE: 29 November - To further promote transnational collaboration in meaningful and high impact researches and publications, the School of Education and Modern Languages ??(SEML) organised a two-day International Conference and Innovation Exhibition on Global Education 2018 (ICEGE 2018) starting yesterday.
In his speech, the Dean of SEML, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Don, who represented the Vice-Chancellor said, the conference focuses on the issues and challenges of the 21st century, particularly on the importance of global education by embracing diversity and providing opportunities for educators to explore the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Highlighting the theme - 'Global Education: Perspectives, Innovations, Issues and Challenges', the education agenda nowadays has to cope with various challenges that must be addressed effectively and so that it can be implemented more realistically.
"One of ICEGE's goals is to promote transnational cooperation and I am delighted that educational institutions in Malaysia and Indonesia are working hand-in-hand to promote excellence in knowledge, content, research and innovation," said the Dean of SEML during the Launching Ceremony of ICEGE 2018 at the UUM CAS Seminar Hall, yesterday.
