            DEFINITION

            A desire to improve performance by setting and  reaching challenging
            goals, making decisions which will improve measurable business results,
            taking risks which will enhance results, committing resources in the face of
            uncertainty and taking strong position.
            BEHAVIORAL INDICATORS

            •   Sets measurable objectives for self and others.

            •   Demonstrates concern for meeting performance standards.

            •   Takes calculated risks to reach challenging goals.

            •   Evaluates and prioritises ideas, actions, projects and customers in
                terms of profitability, costs and benefits.

            •   Commits resources in face of uncertainty.
