            3.6  CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE



            DEFINITION

            Ability to understands multiple cultural frameworks, values, and norms;
            demonstrates an ability to flex style when faced with myriad dimensions
            of culture in order to be effective across cultural contexts; understands
            the dynamics of cross-cultural and inclusion-related conflicts, tensions,
            misunderstandings, or opportunities; understands the history, context,
            geography, religions, and languages of the regions in which the
            organization does operate; and is fluent in more than one, and ideally
            several, languages.

            BEHAVIORAL INDICATORS

            •   Identify the diversity of different groups’ cultural values.

            •   Distinguish ways of interacting with people from different cultural
                backgrounds.

            •   Able to cope with stress in adapting to different cultures.

            •   Take into consideration of cultural diversity in resolving conflicts and
                problems.
